Samara Central Bus Station I would become a writer for one reason only: to one day find words good enough for my feelings about Samara Central Bus Station. There is a supermarket called Moscow and a restaurant called Sektor Gaza with Viennese chairs. In the waiting hall you can buy everything a proper trip requires: fresh newspapers, a Chinese radio receiver, fishing gear.
The central bus station is the face of the Samara region, because the Samara region is its villages. It is also, still for now, a working portal back to the late 1980s and the 1990s. If you want the magic to happen, just buy a ticket to any destination at the counter.
The station is putting up a brave fight against time, but it has less and less strength left. Give it five more years and there will be friendly clerks, no one will throw passengers off a bus for having an electronic ticket, the toilet will become free, and the facade will finally be covered with metal sheets in the colors of the Russian flag.
